Why is ABC important in discipling new believers: an interview with Burmese ABC translator.

ABC is a 300-hour curriculum of foundational biblical education, completely in Chinese. Each kit consists of the following: One MP3 player, one CD case with 19 CDs, 16 study books, one instruction manual, and a study guide complete with questions and tests.

In China, thousands of pastors have no access to a Bible school or theological training. Many pastors have even given their lives to find this training for themselves and their house church members.

While the Chinese church is increasing at unprecedented rates, there are very few pastors and leaders who have the skills and resources necessary to lead a growing Chinese Christian community. In fact, a leader in the China Christian Council (CCC) said that today there is only one pastor for every 10,000 believers. With ABC, we can change these statistics.

The future of the Chinese church rests on building a generation of strong and effective leaders. ABC is designed to equip Chinese pastors and evangelists to lead a growing and vibrant church body into God’s vision for China. By equipping church leaders in China, we can help change the heart of that nation.

CMS

CMS is a school-based video program that includes 15 essential courses taught by notable Bible teachers and Christian leaders with experience in global missions.  World Compassion Terry Law Ministries’ desire is to get this valuable tool into the hands of Chinese Christians who are called to spread the message of Christ throughout the world.  

The vision of the Chinese Church, called the Back to Jerusalem Movement, is to evangelize and establish churches in all the countries between China and Jerusalem. This vision is no small task, for within those nations lie the three most dominant belief systems of the un-reached world: Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. 

The CMS program includes 16 video modules (DVD) and accompanying study books which will prepare workers for the mission field through practical lessons in cross-cultural communication, language acquisition, world religions, worldview, and basic survival skills. Experienced missionaries and teachers contributed their knowledge and expertise to create a program to educate Chinese Bible school students on the practical aspects of missions work. 

There has been a great and growing need among Chinese missionaries for mission training material to help them take the message of Christ into the Muslim world. WCTLM desires not only to disciple the vastly growing Chinese church but to equip them to be missionaries to unreached nations of the world.
