In the small village of Khamti in northern Myanmar, 150 church members are transforming their community – one home and one life at a time. Every week, church members go door-to-door to their neighbors, friends and the surrounding communities to witness and invite others to service in a region that is nearly 90% Buddhist. Many lives have been transformed, healed, and set free from bondage, and many have come to know Jesus Christ and receive salvation!
After prayerful consideration, World Compassion is partnering with this church and their pastor, Pastor Aung, to build a new church building. The property the church meets on now is a rented space and the hut they host their services in fits only half of their members. Not only have they rapidly outgrown it, but the government authorities are also warning them that it is illegal to worship in this rented building.
We want to give you an opportunity to be a part of this exciting new church plant on the front lines of a difficult mission field!
Projects like these are special projects over and beyond typical World Compassion programs. We are asking you to pray about making a special investment this month into this church. Your giving, no matter the amount, is helping to establish the church and reach people on the front lines of mission work! By giving toward a new church building, you are not only blessing the believers who already attend this church, but expanding their ministry’s reach!
We appreciate you, your prayers and your consideration for partnering with World Compassion as we work together to help build Pastor Aung and his church a brand new building. Together we can help transform the lives of people in nations around the world!
