“Everybody has a part to play in the Middle East.”

When Chelsea Dischinger from Orange County, California heard about the violence of ISIS and resulting refugee crisis in the Middle East, she felt called to do something about it. She and her young daughters have partnered with World Compassion for the “Fill the Container” campaign, rallying their community to fill and ship a 40-foot container of food and supplies for refugees fleeing the violence of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

With the support of their local church, they have reached out to local schools, Girl Scout troops, sports teams, businesses and other churches to help donate supplies and raise funds to pay for the shipping of the container. They have been overwhelmed by the positive and eager response of the community already, and are well on their way to accomplishing their goal.

Chelsea’s Challenge

Chelsea has a challenge for others also looking for an opportunity to make a difference: “I challenge you to take that leap of faith, put your car in drive, and go for it. Let God direct you. He’ll show you what your part is, but I think everybody has a part to play in what’s going on in the Middle East, and I think that we could each do something. So take the time to pray and ask God, ‘what is my part? What can I do?’”

You can be the answer to someone’s prayer today by giving a gift today to send a relief pack to a refugee!
