    If you are looking for a way to develop the skills and giftings you have in film/video production this internship is for you. You will be hands producing videos that motivate and inspire action; action to make a difference in the lives of people who need help.
    WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
    – Competency in shooting video and photo
    – Competency in editing in Final Cut and/or Adobe Premier
    – Creative storytelling in your ability to edit existing footage and shoot new footage to communicate what we do as an organization

    A good web, app, and program designer is one of the most useful, effective, and powerful people in our world today. By designing and coding web applications you will create a platform that captures the attention of the world and create the bridge that they can use to get involved in changing peoples lives.

    This internship is designed in a way that will force you to hone your skills as a designer and marry them with the ability to communicating effectively. We want you to learn how to make beautiful art that causes people to say YES, when we ask them to get involved.
    SUMMARY
    Responsible for layout and design of a variety of documents such as forms, brochures, newsletters, logos, stationery, invitations, flyers and presentations.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Provide graphic services for a worldwide ministry
    2. Provides input and/or recommends layout and design options on projects such as newspaper ads, display boards, manuals and booklets, graphs and flowcharts, brochures, t-shirts and other collateral materials
    3. Proofreads work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    4. Completes work according to department and corporate standards
    5. Maintains confidentiality
    6. Remains proficient in desktop publishing techniques
    7. Demonstrates ability to operate office machines such as copiers, fax, printers, Macintosh computer and scanner
    8. Balances priorities to meet deadlines
    9. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work with others to accomplish goals
    10. Performs other related projects as assigned
    11. Essential part of maintaining the company’s brand identity and design strategy for company
    12. Manage the direction of third party support including freelancers and agencies
    13. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Knowledge of layout and design principles normally acquired through completion of bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design or related area. Will consider a combination of work experience and education in place of a bachelor’s degree. Must possess excellent communication skills, along with the ability to work under constant deadlines.
    Demonstrates a working knowledge of print production and a thorough working knowledge of preparing documents for printing. Possesses excellent design skills with a strong attention to detail, quality, and proofreading with a high degree of creativity. Demonstrates working knowledge of software packages for graphic design including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office through a Macintosh platform.
    As an assistant writer on the World Compassion creative team, you will play a key role in developing and polishing excellent content for social media, fundraising letters, blogs, and more.

    As an intern, you will assist with our social media marketing efforts as an integral member of the creative marketing team at World Compassion. You will learn the ins and outs of our business and how to make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts.

    EXPECTATIONS
    – Interns are expected to have experience with social media on (at least) a personal level (use on a business level preferred).
    – You must be able to think strategically and see how social media fits into a business’ marketing strategy, not just “selling” to our customers, but building long-lasting relationships by providing value to them.
    – Interns must be able to assist in formulating social media plans (once ample information is provided to you), and then carry them out (with our assistance).
    – You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact.
    – 7-10 hours weekly, currently an unpaid position.
    HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
    – Creating new profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
    – Creating and uploading Twitter and YouTube backgrounds and minor video editing skills are a plus.

    SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WE’RE LOOKING FOR
    – Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
    – Be creative with an eye for design
    – Ability to develop a detailed and professional marketing plan
    – Knowledge of digital media software – Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred
    – Knowledge of video editing software – iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus
    – Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
    – Willingness to create video blogs, write press releases, and Facebook posts daily
    – Energy and a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
