There is nothing in the world or the Church — except the church’s disobedience — to render the evangelization of the world in this generation an impossibility.

-Robert Speer, leader in Student Volunteer Movement

We live in extraordinary times – right now, the Body of Christ around the world is being stirred and mobilized to complete the Great Commission in our lifetime.

My generation has been passed the baton from a long line of heroes, known and unknown, to complete the task over 2,000 years in the making of taking the Gospel to every nation.

We are in the final stretch, the fourth quarter, the last leg of the race. We are on the verge of reaching the rest of the world, and each of us has an essential role to play.

In the 1920s, God birthed a vision in believers throughout China to take the gospel to all unreached people groups from the Far East to Jerusalem. This vision, now called the “Back to Jerusalem Movement,” is what the Chinese believe their integral role is in fulfilling the Great Commission.

When one considers the size and untapped potential of the Chinese church, it is easy to see why God would call them uniquely for this great task. China is soon to be the largest missionary pool in the world. By 2025, experts predict China will have more Christians than the United States, exceeding 160 million.

Though the Chinese Church is passionate about fulfilling their unique role in the Great Commission, many still lack the training and tools they need to be successful. This is where we come in. World Compassion has provided a way for believers in the West to equip our brothers and sisters through China Mission School.

World Compassion established the China Mission School (CMS) to train Chinese Believers for full-time ministry and church planting in hostile regions. CMS provides holistic training for missionaries from practical topics such as Cross-Cultural Communication, World Religions, Language Acquisition, and Survival to ministry development topics like Making Disciples, Planting Churches, and Evangelism.

This program ensures missionaries are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to persevere through the trials they will face in their difficult mission.

Our roles may be different, but we are on the same team with the same mission as the Chinese Church. We need each other to be successful and fulfill our purpose!

The program of CMS has been successful, with over 400 current students studying CMS and 43 recent graduates. You can help us enroll 1000 additional students in CMS this fall!

Come alongside a brother or sister in Christ from China and equip them for their life’s mission by blessing them with a scholarship for CMS today.

Together we can help launch, potentially, the largest missionary population in the world to complete the Great Commission!

What are we waiting for? Let’s go!

“Even though we speak a different language, in Christ we are really one family. So thank you so much. Without your help, we cannot get help.” -John, Chinese Pastor
