I am 19 years old and felt like my life was just beginning. We had a wonderful three-story home in Aleppo before the war. When the rebels began hiding in our neighborhood, the Assad regime began bombing our suburb every night. Night after night, the bombs missed us. But eventually we weren’t so lucky. We hid in the basement during the bombings, and on this particular night our home was hit by a bomb, and all three floors collapsed on top of us.
We eventually escaped the rubble. But we knew we couldn’t stay in Syria. With nothing left, our family fled to Kurdistan, where we now live in this refugee camp. We are thankful for the food and other items World Compassion provides. We are starting over with nothing.

Yes – the Lord has been putting Syria on my heart for two years.
I know someone who had roots in Aleppo.
It is looking worse than WWII over three.
I am praying that Jesus will have a Big say on the New Syria.
Northern Syria has been my big focus, including Atmeh refugee camp.
And now the spillover in Turkey.
