 After the fighting started, resources like food became very scarce in our area.  Then Al Qaeda invaded and they killed civilians regularly in our town.

My husband worked in construction before the war, and I was a simple housewife.

We felt safe in our community called Qamishli.  After the fighting started, resources like food became very scarce in our area.  Then Al Qaeda invaded and they killed civilians regularly in our town.

We fled to the refugee camps before our family was attacked.
