“…when a believing person prays, great things happen.”
-James 5:16 (NCV)

Meet Mark Borrows

Mark is not only a long-time friend to many at World Compassion but is someone you may hear from occasionally to say thank you and offer prayer for anything you may need.

Mark’s history with World Compassion includes trips with Jason Law to Myanmar and China in 2013 and Iraq in 2017.

Mark was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where at a young age he came to faith in Jesus Christ.

After years of pursuing a career in corporate management, Mark sensed a change of direction to full-time ministry. Mark and his wife, Rebecca, took a leap of faith and moved their family back to Medicine Hat from British Columbia, at which point God opened a door for Mark to pastor vocationally.

During his time as a pastor, his churches saw exponential growth and became large supporters of missions, giving upwards of 20 to 30 percent of their yearly budget to ministry partners.

Mark has been married to Rebecca, his amazing and beautiful wife, for 39 years. They have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren. Along with family, his passions include sharing the love of God with people, business, camping, and of course, golf!

Mark looks forward to connecting with you to continue bringing the hope of Jesus to nations hostile to the Gospel.
