Raising Children in Burma
This verse caught our attention when she shared it with us, because this is exactly what happens when we take these orphans in and raise them under the counsel of God’s Word with caretakers that love them. This children’s home is overseen by one of our key Burmese pastors and his family who we have supported for several years. The children we care for are not only receiving nutritious food, proper clothing, shelter and an education but they are being mentored into a new kind of life— one in which they have influence, a new identity, and love. This home provides the opportunity for these children to have what they need to pursue their dreams of being doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers, and military generals for the kingdom of God in Burma.
FOR THEM, IT’S LIFE OR DEATH.
Education is not available for free to children in Burma, and therefore it is often out of the question for children that rarely make enough money to eat. Without education, these children will not have the tools they need to escape the cycle of poverty that often led to their abandonment.
Orphaned children in Burma are among those who are at high risk of becoming the next human trafficking victims. In this 32 billion dollar a year industry, enslaving more than 27 million people, traffickers often seek to take advantage of those in desperation, offering them promises of protection, education and a better life.
We can protect these children from these deceptive ploys, giving them an opportunity to receive a Christ-centered education in a safe home.

Two Great Ways To Easily Make A Difference

This registry is designed to make it easy for you to help us fill our orphanage and make it feel like a home. You can provide these children with everything they need from books to beds and much more. It’s a simple way to let these children know they’re loved.

Every month World Compassion provides all the necessities for these children through your support, and we have the opportunity to take in more children with this new home. This support covers their food, clothing, school uniforms, tuition, toys, books, and medical bills.
