We celebrate Terry’s life, his boldness, his vision and his courage to go where few were willing to go -- to reach the unreached with the saving message of Jesus Christ. We are convinced that his life influenced millions to embrace the good news of the Gospel.

We remember today the mandate that Terry initially received while ministering with his first Living Sound team in South Africa.

“I am going to send you to minister among the closed countries of the world. You will do things that most people will believe impossible. If you trust Me and are obedient, I will protect you.”

This led to his over 50-year journey of ministry to become an influential voice to nations hostile to the Gospel including Russia, China, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq.

Using a compassion evangelism model of ministry helped shape who World Compassion is today — transforming lives by meeting both their physical and spiritual needs.

We celebrate Terry Law’s legacy and purpose to continue to reach the unreached, which he exampled with his life these 77 years.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. – 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Your message in memory of Terry Law

In Canada's north the Inuit people build stone human shaped figures called inukshuks. As the arctic winds continually change the landscape, these inukshuks are invaluable as they communicate to travellers, 'You are on the right way, someone has gone before you.' Dr Law you are a landmark for following generations. Thank you for the life you lived! Your life will be properly measured by the depth of your conviction, the height of your compassion, the breadth of your vision, the reach of your love, and the substance of your bold daring faith. Thank you for the legacy you left us. You will be sorely missed!

For fifty years, Terry faithfully and humbly spread the word of Jesus around the world. I’m one of the few people who was privileged to know him and work with him for decades. While others were agents to a cause, Terry devoted his life.

He was a bold leader and, while he will be greatly missed, I have no doubt his legacy and work will continue. Kay and I are praying for his wife, Barbara, his children and the entire World Compassion family in their time of grief.

Terry impacted our lives deeply. His visits to our TV ministry, It’s a New Day impacted lives throughout Canada. But it was his friendship, his sharing his life with its joys and struggles, intimate times when he shared how praising God brought answers, hope and encouragement that really impacted our hearts. He was our fellow Canadian that God gave to the world...
Betty’s comment on hearing of his move to his heavenly home, said “he’s going to have a lot of fun“.
Thank you Father for Terry Law.

Terry touched many lives right here in Kansas when he came to speak at The RoundUp or do a banquet. We will forever be grateful for his ministry and his dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We know his legacy will be ongoing!

I first heard Dr Law in Atlanta in 1983. It was then that God gave me a heart for missions and specifically World Compassion. Dr Law has made a tremendous impact on my spiritual growth over these past 30 plus years. I'm deeply saddened by his passing but know that he is with The Lord and that Terry leaves World Compassion in excellent care under his son Jason.

Dr. Law was passionate about smuggling Bibles into Iran. To date World Compassion has distributed 140,000 Bibles in this nation that's hungry for the Gospel.

In his honor, we want to bring the life-transforming impact of the Bible to even more people.

We are continuing to move bibles into Iran at an incredible rate as the Church in Iran is the fastest growing church in the world and demand is at an all-time high.

Proceeds from this project will go directly to our campaign to smuggle Bibles into Iran.

It costs just $6 to smuggle one Bible into Iran. Help us get thousands more across the border with your gift!
