We believe the most effective way to reach a closed nation with the gospel is to empower local bodies of believers to be the hands and feet of God in their communities.

Understanding their own culture and people better than anyone else, these believers are able to communicate the gospel in a way that is relevant and practical within their society. But before they can share the Word of God with those around them, they must know it themselves.

World Compassion invests in a cycle of discipleship that evangelizes, teaches, equips and sends new believers.

In nations hostile to the gospel, resources that clearly communicate the word of God are highly sought after. Christians use these booklets, and other resources like it, to tell the story of Jesus to their neighbors who are unfamiliar with the Bible.

The Story of Jesus is a 16-page, fully illustrated booklet, written at a third grade reading level that outlines the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The story guides readers through a step by step process of how to become part of God’s family, followed by a basic salvation prayer.

ABC

[one_fifth][/one_fifth][three_fifth]ABC is 336 lessons of systematic and comprehensive Bible training covering topics such as: Foundations of the Christian Faith, Old and New Testament studies as well as Leadership and Church Planting. This material lays a strong foundation in the life of a new believer and expands the knowledge and understanding of more mature Christians. Upon completion of this 2 year program, students are equipped to lead the growing number of Christian converts in their nation.[/three_fifth][one_fifth_last][one_fifth_last]

China

World Compassion created the ABC in the 1990s as a resource for the Chinese Church. ABC was designed to equip believers with the tools they need to become leaders in the church and disciple groups of new Christians.

ABC is distributed throughout the church in China. Working closely with church leaders, World Compassion currently has over 2,000 students taking ABC in China.

Burma

When World Compassion discovered the need for sound systematic and comprehensive Bible training for churches throughout Burma we made a commitment to translate our ABC material used in China into Burmese. After a recently completed, multi-year translation process, students are now ready to begin studying in their native language throughout the country of Burma.

CMS

China Missions School (CMS) was created to equip Chinese Believers for ministry in some of the most hostile regions of the world.

The program is an amazing tool for missions-minded graduates of the “ABC” curriculum wishing to continue their education and evangelize their country.

CMS trains students in Cross-Cultural Religion, Language Acquisition, and Survival to prepare them for planting churches throughout China, the Middle East, and in Jerusalem.

CMS contains 130 hours of instruction on these topics, equipping students to be successful in their ministry. The program is available in text and DVD format.
